Cynthia Russell (she/her) is a member of the Clifton Choctaw Tribe of Louisiana and lives in Bvlbancha (New Orleans). A graduate of the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts, she went on to earn her BA in Psychology and Philosophy Pre-Law from Loyola University New Orleans. In 2023, she served as a committee member for the Power Shift Network and headlined their national Convergence, leading a panel on Indigenous Femme and 2-Spirit voices in the climate movement. Cynthia now serves as Communications Manager for Bvlbancha Public Access, leading outreach for the 2025 Indigenous Gulf South Stream, a digital celebration of Gulf South Indigenous perspectives. She is also a beadwork and basket-weaving artist, dedicated to preserving culture, raising awareness of state-recognized tribes, and sparking conversations on sustained community and the evolving landscape of digital activism.
